Late Summer Men’s B Team withdraw.

The Late Summer League Men’s B team has had to withdraw from Division 3 of the Men’s Late Summer League.  The first four matches have had to be conceded du to a lack of players for the team.  Only two fixtures remain for the team.  The League rules state that where a team concedes more than half its fixtures all their resuts will be nullified so even if the matches wre played it would mean defeats of 9-0 in any event.

This situation has come about due due to a variety of circumstances such as hoidays, injuries and personal circumstances of some players preventing them take part.

New Club Policies now available

The Club has now introduced new policies to add to the existing Safeguarding and other policies. These are a requirement of the Club’s registration with the LTA to ensure Ridgeway Tennis Club neets the stndards of a safe place to play.  Could members please take some time to familiarise themselves with the content. They can all be found on the Safeguarding page.

The new polices are:

1. Anti-bullying policy

2. Photography and Filming Policy

3. Online Safety and Communication Policy

4. Junior Policy

Active Summer Camp at Sports and Social Club during the school holiday

All members, especially our new members.

Just to let you know that during the school holidays from Monday 28th July until  Tuesday 2nd September 2025 there will be Active Summer Camp activities using the Sports and Social Club facilities, including the tennis courts.   It runs from 8.00 until 5.00 pm from Monday to Friday, excluding Bank Holiday Monday. This WILL NOT prevent members from playing during the day.

They will not be using the courts all the time.  If you arrive and there are children on the courts just let the Supervisor(s) know and they will move the children to ensure members can play. They will not affect the Ladies Friday afternoon social sessions either.  Any problems let Mick Mason know on 07891096164.

The Active Summer Camp activities tie in with the aims and objectives of the Sports and Social Club and the tennis club has gained some members as a result of youngsters attending the camps. The Sports Club benefits from hire charges to the company running the Summer Camp.
