Both Mixed and Work Leaguie fixtures this week. Both ended in defeat for the Ridgeway teams but the Works League match was decidded by just one game.
In the Mixed League the team took on Moorgate B away on Tuesday but lost 4-0. Rob Mitchell and Mel Wright lost their two matches 3-6, 2-6 and then 3-6, 4-6. Malcolm Harris and Sandra Bennett were our other couple and they lost both matches by 0-6, 0-6.
On Wednesday there was a very close game between Ridgeway and Moorgate C in the Works League which resulted in a defeat for Ridgeway by just one game. Danny Lidster partnered Harvey Marsh and they lost by 4-9 to the first pair but beat the seconds by the same score. Steve Hill partnered Jasper Patel and they beat the second pair by 9-4 but lost to the firsts by 3-9. Final match score Rubbers 2-2 Games 25-26,
