The LTA has posted the latest guidance for the resumption of tennis on its website and is available via the link on the Home page. The good news is that tennis can resume from the 2nd December. It is also good news that the guidance does provide for those members who live in the South Yorkshire area to travel a short distance outside the area to play at their local club. All members MUST read the amended guidance BEFORE they play again at the club. (NB although both Sth Yorks and NE Derbyshire are in Tier 3 it is important to state that travel restrictions generally still apply between areas and this allowance is an exemption to the general rule).
They will need to do the pre-visit health self assessment, bring their own hand sanitisers, follow all the social distancing rules etc that are set out in the guidance and inform Sandra Bennett of your visit for the purpose of meeting the Test and Trace requirements.
Members will need to put a net out and store it away afterwards. The toilet will not be available. Also, reminder that there is likely to be junior football coaching on the courts on Thursday evening. In any event the floodlights are not available for tennis at night so play is limited to daylight hours during the week and at weekends.
