Tuesday 5th April – 13:15 pm -15:15 pm – school using courts

On Tuesday the 5th April Ridgeway Primary School are going to be using the courts for two hours between 1:15 pm and 3:15 pm for a coaching session run through an LTA initiative to get young children at Primary School age playing tennis.  The Primary programme includes detailed inclusive PE lesson plans focused on developing fundamental movement skills, and the children, as part of the scheme, will have seen accompanying videos showing the activities in action.  Hopefully this initiative will be benficial for both the children and the tennis c;lub.

The courts will not be available for members during this period.

Court cleaning delayed

The court cleaning did not go ahead on M<onday.  The contractors started but had to abort after a problem with the machine they were using. They will be returning but not until April 19th which is disappointing.

Before they left they did spray all the bowling green side to reduce any further moss development.

In view of the latest Government guidance all Covid restrictions and guidelines have been stopped.  This means that the club will no longer be recording attnednaces at social sessions.  Thes details were only collected for the purposes of the Government’s Test and Trace system.  All data collected for that purpose will now be deleted from the club records to comply with the data protection laws.  It means the club wil revert to the normal activities we enjoyed prior to the onset of Covid.
