The LTA have update their guidance as a result of the imposition of Tier 4 restrictions imposed in the South East. There is now a new summary grid and associated guidance. This does not affect the restrictions the club is currently operating under but really sets out how seriously everyone has to take the current situation, whatever tier we are in.

Resumption of play as from 2nd December
The LTA has posted the latest guidance for the resumption of tennis on its website and is available via the link on the Home page. The good news is that tennis can resume from the 2nd December. It is also good news that the guidance does provide for those members who live in the South Yorkshire area to travel a short distance outside the area to play at their local club. All members MUST read the amended guidance BEFORE they play again at the club. (NB although both Sth Yorks and NE Derbyshire are in Tier 3 it is important to state that travel restrictions generally still apply between areas and this allowance is an exemption to the general rule).
They will need to do the pre-visit health self assessment, bring their own hand sanitisers, follow all the social distancing rules etc that are set out in the guidance and inform Sandra Bennett of your visit for the purpose of meeting the Test and Trace requirements.
Members will need to put a net out and store it away afterwards. The toilet will not be available. Also, reminder that there is likely to be junior football coaching on the courts on Thursday evening. In any event the floodlights are not available for tennis at night so play is limited to daylight hours during the week and at weekends.
Resumption of play – Tier Grid
The LTA has updated its website on the 25th with a grid of the impact of the tier system with effect from the 2nd December which sets out the guidance that clubs will have to follow once the Government gives details on Thurday the 26th November of which tier each area is allocated to. Further details will appear once the club considers the implications of that decision.
