Another great Finals Day at the Club on Sunday. Five very closely contested finals, a good number of members spectating, and good food and drink. Even the weather played its part with a sunny day and a steady breeze for the players to contend with. A big thank you to Tommy Stenton for organising the tournaments throughout the summer and all those who contributed to a very successful day.

Men’s Singles: Mark Firth beat Tommy Stenton 6-3, 1-6, 6-4
Ladies singles: Mel Wright beat Zoe Lawrence 6-4, 2-6, 7-5
Men’s Doubles: Mark Firth & Gary Costa beat Tommy Stenton and Alin Carnariu 7-6, 7-5
Ladies Doubles: Zoe Lawrence and Sharon Scott beat Mel Wright and Val Levick 7-5, 7-5
Mixed Doubles: Mel Wright and John Firth beat Rehma Hussein and Mark Firth 4-6, 6-2, 6-1
